Consequently, everyone has a different "studying style”. Here are some suggestions to study efficiently.
Every one's situation while they are studying, shows in the below image...
So to study effectively follow those things...
1) Attend Class: The most important is to make sure you attend your classes. Attendance in class enhances the chance you'll get a passing grade in a course.,
2) Manage Your Time: If you must work you should realize the limitations that this imposes on your study time. Make a time schedule for studying and doing assignments.
Your education should come first!
· Clear your schedule. Don't overextend yourself.
· Plan Weekly Schedule
3) Study Hard Subjects First & Study in a Quiet Place: Study hard subjects first. Each night (or day) when studying or doing your homework, do those subjects first for which you need to be alert and energetic. Leave the easier, or more fun, subjects to later.
Study in a quiet place, with as few distractions as possible. Do not listen to music or TV: It is virtually impossible to do two things at once if one of them is studying.
4) Concentration: The ability to direct your thinking
- Stick to a routine, efficient study schedule
- Study in a quiet environment
- For a study break, do something different from what you've been doing (e.g., walk around if you've been sitting), and in a different area
- Vary your study activities
- Before lectures, look over the notes of the previous lecture and read the course material.
5) Note Taking Techniques: The most comprehensive note taking systems require attention on your part. You must be alert enough in class to take legible, meaningful notes. Read all textbook material relevant to the topic being covered prior to attending class.
- Neatness Doesn't Count
- Ask Questions & Make Comments
- Don't Take Notes on a Computer - By the way, don’t take class notes on a laptop computer. Certainly you should not do this unless you are a very good typist and have "compiled" your word-processing or text-editing program into your fingertips
- Don't Rely on the Instructor's Lecture Notes
- Use Abbreviations
- Further Reading
6) Read Texts Actively & Slowly, before & after Class:
· Make Notes in the Margin
· Highlight the Text in the Margin
· Keep a Notebook.
· Read Before and After Class
· Read Slowly.
7) Do Your Homework: Always try to do your homework
- Desire to become a better listener.
- Stop talking. Look at the speaker.
- Leave your emotions behind.
- Get rid of distractions.
- Get the main points.
- Don't argue mentally.
- Avoid jumping to conclusions.
- Avoid hasty judgments.
- Recognize your own prejudice.
